What it does
Connects your Blip chatbot to Segment and streams, in real time, the data generated during conversations. Whenever a contact, a message, or an event occurs in Blip, the extension sends that information to Segment, feeding your customer data platform (CDP) without any manual work.
Key features
- Sends contacts as
identifycalls, including name, email, city, phone, custom fields, and the originating channel. - Sends the messages exchanged in the chatbot, distinguishing those sent by the bot from those received from the customer.
- Sends tracking events with category, action, and additional data.
- Automatically identifies the originating channel (WhatsApp, web, etc.) on each record.
- Supports both the US and EU Segment regions, selectable in the configuration.
Requirements
- A Segment account with a source of type "Blip" created.
- The write key of that source, found under Settings, API Keys, Write Key.
- Selection of your Segment workspace region (US or EU).
